Relief in sight...

Rejoice with me, my fellow tax form minions! Just got notification that 1040 instructions are being shipped this week. That will take some of the pressure off.

Now I can stop making up excuses to patrons when they don't believe the truth (at least once a day).

He has stolen all of your tax forms, and he's hoarding them in the Lincoln Bedroom. You can only get them if you give him your gun. And I mean you have to give it to him personally, he's going to come knocking on your door sometime in March and he will take your gun away from you and leave behind a 1040A instruction booklet."

LOL.

Seriously, one of the earliest complainers I had stormed off with a nasty remark about Obama.

Other people usually say something about "the government," but with this look that implies we're actually holding the forms hostage (or have the printing presses locked up in some back room).

Maybe now that patron will stop calling our library twice a day. (You know, just in case they got delivered later in the day.)

Yay! Our circ head will be so happy when they're in - she's in charge of tax forms, so she not only has to deal with the patrons asking about it, but staff asking her because the patrons are asking them.

We got ours today and a good quarter of them are gone already - no kidding.

As soon as we put them out it's like a swarm of people descended out of nowhere.

I'm just relieved that they are finally here and we can stop getting the "Are they there yet?" questions.

Ours arrived today (delayed due to the bad weather in the midwest last week). Man, are they thick! I think we went through one box today. But I felt rather peeved that during my shift today we didn't get a single phone call for them...
