From Saturday: okay, seriously, we close at 5 pm. It's great that you walked over here with your kids to come visit the library, we support bringing kids to the library. However, that does not mean that you can walk in here at 4:51 pm and expect us to allow you to stay past our closing time. We are not paid to be here past 5 pm, and yes, you may pay taxes, but that covers the time until 5, not the time after it. Unless you want to hand me $22 to stay an extra hour, I'm not gonna do it, no matter how upset your kids are that they've only had seven minutes to play with the toys. The seven minutes, by the way, was me being NICE. Usually I'd be nudging you out a few minutes before that.
From today: DO NOT TOUCH ME. I understand that touch is a way of connecting to people, and with my friends and family I am a very huggy person. But I do NOT appreciate random strangers doing so much as patting my shoulder when we're having a conversation. There is such a thing as personal space and you need to RESPECT IT. Also, lady, listen to what people tell you. I'm pretty sure you paid absolutely no attention to the conversation you had with the clerk downstairs, based on what you just said to me, but if you'd actually listened to him, I wouldn't be this pissed off at you. ...Okay, I would, but because TOUCHING, not because touching AND idiocy.
