massive over-entitlement

One of our professors wanted to see a particular book to which we have electronic access. He wasn't satisfied with the electronic access and asked yesterday that we buy a print copy. (Our school, like most US law schools, is having major financial problems.) Well we pander to our full-time faculty so we ordered it. Today he asks for a status report on our efforts to get the book, "because it's urgent."

I did remind him of the existence of the ebook "since it's urgent." But my preferred response would be to slap him.

How urgent could it be? Is someone going to die without this book?

Ah, professors...

They already have instant access. What more could they want?
